Memorial House Museum of Academician Dmitry Ivanovich Yavornytsky is one of the six branches of the Dnepropetrovsk Historical Museum, which includes the house of historian, archaeologist, famous explorer of the Zaporozhye Cossacks Dmitry Yavornytsky.

The museum is in a house where Dmitry Yavornytsky lived and worked for 35 years. The architectural layout of the rooms has been preserved, their interiors have been restored in the way they were in the 1930s during the master's life: the lobby, the hallway, the dining room, the living room, the office, the mezzanine. One of the rooms is an exhibition room, where changing exhibitions from the museums of Dnepropetrovsk and Ukraine reveal the versatility of the scientist's talents.

Such an interesting person, like Dmitry Ivanovich, attracted people and it is not surprising that many of his contemporaries came to his house "to draw inspiration". Among them: Pavlo Tychyna, Maxim Rylsky, Pavel Usenko, Ostap Vishnya, Vladimir Gilyarovsky, the painter-battlist Nikolai Samokish, Slavist Agafangel the Crimean, the classics of Ukrainian theatrical art Mikhail Kropivnitsky, Nikolai Sadovsky, Pavel Saksaganskiy and many others ...

The museum retains a large number of documents and historical sources that belonged, first of all, to Yavornytsky himself.
