Novoselovka is one of the most famous centers of the southeastern Podillya, known for its ancient pottery traditions, beauty and unique character of ceramic products. In the 20-ies of the last century, there lived and worked outstanding masters-brothers Yakim and Yakov Gerasimenko, participants of the All-Union and International art exhibitions. They created bright compositions on decorative dishes, tiles. They created bright, traditional jugs, barrels, saucers, jars, tiles, plates, bowls, dishes, glaziers, pots, toys, figured dishes, tea and table sets, decorated with vegetal and geometric ornaments. The masters also made glazed brick-red dishes, painted with red, green and white engobes. After World War II, their decorative plates, dishes, and utensils were exhibited in Vinnitsa, Kiev, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Paris, New York, for which the authors were repeatedly awarded gold medals. The continuer of the traditions of Jacob and What Gerasimenko called their niece Frosina Ivanovna Mishchenko - honored master of folk art, a member of the National Union of Masters of Ukraine. Frosina Mishchenko also raised a lot of talented craftsmen. Among her students are Tatiana Shpak, Honored Master of Folk Art, Valentina Zhivko, Tatyana Dmitrenko. Shpak Tatiana Ivanovna is the director of the Novoselovsky museum-estate of the brothers Gerasimenko, opened in the house where the famous maestrios were born in 1988 on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the birth of Yakim Gerasimenka. The museum has the status of "state". The museum has 903 items. The museum exposition presents the works of local masters, who specialized mainly in the production of applied dishes (bowls, pots), and also made building ceramics (from the XVII century .. - round tiles). A special place among the products was occupied by a ceramic toy, small plastic (icons, crosses, etc.). Annually the museum organizes about 60 excursions, which are attended by about 5 thousand people. The museum is recognized as the winner of the contest "Seven Wonders of Vinnytsia" in the nomination "Pearls of Podillya". Several times on the basis of the museum of pottery creative All-Ukrainian symposiums-workshops on folk pottery were held.
