It is located in the protected areas and is considered unique due to the composition of water. There are three sources, from which fresh water is taken, as well as salty and mineral water. There are healing muds, and the wonderful aroma of pine, mixed with steppe winds, creates a calm atmosphere.
Even Zaporizhia Cossacks knew that water in the lake had healing properties, but scientists first came here only in the late 19th century. Geologists studied water samples, and at the same time tried mud baths themselves: so that they learned about the possibilities of treating gout and radiculitis, rheumatic diseases, skin inflammation, and the like.
Today, the lake Solonyi Lyman is not only a great place for active recreation, tourism and country hiking or cycling routes, but also a supplier of medical water and mud to the hospital and health resort that was built here in the early 1990's.
Interestingly, there is a fresh water in the part of the lake and even has fish in it! On an island located inside the lake, you can hear birds singing: here you can find waterfowl and steppe representatives of some rare species that are even included in the Red Book!
