G. Skovoroda created a new teaching method – without physical punishment. He talked to his disciples like a father with children.
The museum recreates the atmosphere of the poetics class: tables and benches, a blackboard, icons and sculpture of Grigory Skovoroda (completed by I. Kavaleridze), who sits behind the teacher's pulpit as a real human.
In one of the former vestibules the teacher's room furniture was recreated: a hard bed, a working corner with a secretaire and a chair, a candlestick, a globe, manuscripts of G. Skovoroda's works among which there is a famous satirical song "To Everyone in the City of Law and Rights", written in Pereyaslav area.
The exposition of the museum features paintings, graphics, lithographs and folk art that represent creativity and life of the philosopher.
The interior of the collegium library was recreated in another former vestibule.
